I normally work from about noon until about 1AM. I get to bed about 2:30 or so on average.
After 24 years of this habit it is hard for me to get to sleep before then.

I hear you. When I get off this morning, I'll be off for 4 days, and half that time will be getting used to sleeping at night and the other half will be getting ready to come back to work. :1106:

Tom...
How is your washer fluid ballast working out?
911radioman
04-30-2005, 03:01 AM
It is doing very well. I've been able to take my wheel weights off for general mowing purposes and I have enough ballast in fluid to hold me well on banks, etc.
I have yet to try it out when plowing, I know I'll have to add my weights back on for plowing, but I may be able to get by with just 2 additional weights rather than 3-4.
It has smoothed out the ride a lot as well, believe it or not.
How is your Craftsman doing?

OK... Built a quick and dirty hitch height bracket today so I can tow my utility trailer around the yard. Had to get the ball higher so I could flip the tounge jack up.
BTW... Fox News is reporting that they found the woman from GA that has been missing. She is alive! Was appearantly kidnapped! Can you watch the news there?

I'm watching it on CNN right now. It will be interesting to hear the details on what happened.

Boring? :bump9: I know all to well tonight at work was really boring. I was working on a 777 that is being prepared for the Paris Air Show and it has a bunch of custom work for it and a lot of parts are not here yet.

Pretty quiet night at the 911 Operations Center. I guess everybody is deciding to behave tonight and go to bed like good little boys and girls. :D
How about that new Airbus I've been seeing on TV. How does that thing compare to a 777?

911radioman, The Airbus A380 is a GIANT doubledecker passenger airplane with normal 3 class seating for up 550 passengers and coach seating all thru the plane for 800 passengers. The 777-200 is a long haul widebody with normal 3 class seating for appoximately 295 seats and all coach seating for 375 passengers, The 777-300 has seating for 350 in normal 3 class seating and 400 seats in all coach. The 747 which was the largest passenger aircraft before the A380 has normal 3 class seating for 416 passengers and all coach seating for 510 passengers. The thing about the A380 is that there is only 13 Airports worldwide that will be able to handle the Aircraft. This is the fact the aircraft this large only a few airports have the runways can handle the weight of the plane. Plus the fact the terminals are going to have to be uprated to handle doubledecker loading and how would you like to a passenger on something this large and getting on and off the aircraft in a reasonable amount of time.
