Want an MTD Farm King?

The same guy that sold me loads of Bolens "tubeframe treasures" (piles o' used parts) also had a very sturdy-looking MTD Farm King tractor sitting in his yard. This tractor was obviously from the cast iron and steel MTD era.

It had a B&S 16 HP engine in it with the head off. He said that the engine was bad, but otherwise the tractor was pretty much complete. I could pick it up cheap if someone else wanted it, but I don't need to be bringing another orphan home on my own account. There were no attachments of any kind with it.:1221:

I would go this weekend, take some pics and post them if there is any interest. It is not too far from home (12 mi).

My Farm King is a 1976 and it was painted red, white & black. Tough little puppy. How much is he asking for it? slkpk

"Scrap value". He values this stuff by what he thinks he could get at the local scrap yard. What do you think is rational?
