If the info about it's history is accurate, that is a GREAT little tractor for somebody. Certainly looks like a low hour machine in the photos.

I'm gonna track it just to see if the reserve is met. What is your guess it will go for Joe. I'll say $4,000.00-$4,500.00.

Hi Durwood , The Lanmar that I was checking out awhile back was junk compared to that one ,, The price on it was 4,200 w/o the finish mower .

How big was it Don? This is a pretty small tractor on E-bay. It will probably go for more than i said because what can you buy for under $5,000.00? Just a lawn mower really or a very old tractor.

Dur , I don`t remember what the size was, Heres a rear pic , Its not much more than a lawn mower , ,I was thinking about this one with the mower and a front end loader. They sold the mower and didn`t have any luck finding a loader. :banghead3

Is that the one you couldn't figure out what model Yanmar it was? Mark777 finally figured out which one it was just before the old forum went down and he couldn't get a hold of you. He will be back on here when he gets his computer problems fixed.

Yes it`s the same one, I think the little tractor is still there. Mark 777 did a lot of investigateing for me , we never did pin point the year and model.
I`ve been watching to see Mark on here , Like we say down here , " he`s a good ole Boy "

That sounds kind of high without a front end loader unless it had low hours and was in real good shape. Mark can tell you if it was worth that or not.

I'd bet it goes over $5000.

Having thought about it, i bet you're right Joe. Surely it won't hit $6,000.00 will it? That would shock me if it goes that high., because if you put a fel on it then you would have about $9,000.00 in a "new" 17 year old 16 hp tractor. you can buy a brand new 20hp Mahindra or Kioti for about $11,000.00 or maybe a little under that. People do get crazy at auctions sometimes though. My highest price i would bid on it if i wanted it would be maybe $5,000.00. Depending on how i felt...it could be less.

Look at my first post at the top of this page and click the letters in blue that say yanmar tractor and it will take you to the auction.

Used retail on this is 4190 (high) and 3630 (low) but I suspect it to go around the 4000 range. the new retail of the tractor was 7900 Hopes this helps

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't contributed anything....finally finished moving but still have a few small projects on the other house.

And my computer is off line untill I can devote more time to setting up my office and finding a reliable ISP way out here in the stix.

Dr Bailey, Durwood was right on, tried to contact you just as the old site went away.
What I consider "The top four" well established dealers , in the lower 48 states(excluding myself because I am small potatoes compared to them)....came to the realization that it is, indeed a YM1720 - shuttle shift Yanmar with earlier model sheet metal (hood grill etc.) and the asking price was not unreasonable if the tractor proved to be in very good condition. Also, we agreed that if too many parts have been substituted for originals then it may prove to be problematic, and may be a good tractor to pass by......In other words, if you could steal it for $3000, great...If not, there are others that can be had bone stock in the $4500. range.

Hope to join in more often in the near future. Stopping by my brothers' place and using his computer is a real drag. But for now I will try to stop by and check in more often.

Best Regards, Mark777

Winning bid on the tractor was $5,000.00. The reserve was met, but at $4,100.00 it wasn't met yet so i'm betting his reserve was what it sold for. Somebody got a really nice little tractor.
