I have a 1973 HT-20 2086. I was able to get a copy of a 2087 manual for the machine, but so far have not come across the 2086 manual.
I assume the two are almost identical, but I am curious. What are the differences between the two series, other than decals and seat interlock? Anyone have a manual they could give me a copy of?
Thanks.

Robert,
The HT-20 model 2086-01 was only made during the end of the 1973 year.
1974 began with the HT-20 model 2087-02. The HT-20 was produced thru
the 1978 year ending with the model 2087-04.
I don’t think there is much of a difference between the 2086 and 2087’s except
for the engine spec’s.
The 2086-01 used a Kohler K532S Spec# 53100A.
The 2087-02 used a Kohler K532S Spec# 53102A then changed to a Spec #53138A
The 2087-03 and 2087-04 used a Kohler K532S Spec# 53138A
Maybe Ken8562000 can give us some more details on the differences,
I think he owns about 30 HT-20’s, he would know if anyone here does.

Robert,
I will check my vast collection of Bolens manuals to see if I have one .. if I cant find one I can give you an e-mail address for the KING of bolens manuals. He has manuals for most if not all Bolens stuff, Tractors and attachments. I would bet my 30 HT 20s that he has one if I dont. Actually I own 3 HT20s AEGT5000 wishs I had 30 .. so I can give him a dozen or so .. :trink39:
I will let you know in the next day or so .. I have to dig deep into my Bolens manual vault to check stock.

Thanks! Wish I had 30 bolens...sigh...though my wife already accuses me of having a "mistress" (the HT-20) with her "lingerie" (the tiller I just acquired)!
