One of the helpful crews clearing roads of debris from Katrina wiped out my mailbox. Post was a square plastic tube filled with cement with a piece of angle iron driven into the ground with about 2 1/2 sacks of cement on it. They didn't bother to leave a note or anything but the neighbor saw them so 4 weeks ago I called them and told them they owed me for the new mailbox and to come pull the hunk of cement out of the ground. They haven't showed yet but that's OK I'll use any excuse for seat time only problem was it popped right out when I juiced her.

What was left.

Don't you have to carry all the new materials up there? That would be seat time..... ROF

Tvern, I'll say one thing, you are sure giving that beast a workout down there, it's a shame how it came about, but lucky you got a good piece of equipment and attachments to handle the jobs :fing32:

Glad to see and hear the hurricane left you and yours in one piece. Carl

Yep still in one piece. Property in many peices but most important thing still here. Wife and my daughter. Been having fun dragging trees to burn pile today with tractor but had to come in and change to go to daughter's preschool X-Mas party.

Craftsman, Bolens New Holland Toro etc.

----->>Out of the above list I looked at Simplicity,Cub Cadet New Holland and Toro

I wasn't impressed with the NH or Toro .They looked cheap and flimsy compared to the Simplicity & Cub Cadet. Also they were the most expensive of the 4 brands.
No offense to Toro and NH owners as it was probably just my observation rather than any fault of those tractors.
......>>>I ended up with this:~:
New left over 2005 CC GT2554 with 54'' deck Tiller front blade Ag rear tires and front suitcase weights and a new STIHL 14'' Chain saw.The total for this whole package including sales tax came to $5650.00.

The DEERES were nice but to much over the price range I wanted to stay in.
