I normally post in the JD section, but came across this little tractor and thought I would get some opinions. It is a 1956 IH Cub Loboy. A two owner tractor with original documentation. It has some minor tin damage to the tank, but no leaks. It runs with little to no smoke, but does need some work, as it will stall after idling for less than a minute. I suspect a fuel issue. It has rear wheel weights, quick hitch, hydraulics, lights, and comes with 4 implements: Belly mower, sickle bar, york rake, and a single plow. Price is $1000. Does that sound reasonable?
Here are some pics:

Thanks for any feedback.

that sounds like a good price to me. If the attachments are in good shape they are worth way more than $1000. those are nice driving tractors to mow with. good view with the offset seating. are you up to fixing the fuel problem yourself? If you can work on it yourself I'd say sold! keep us updated on your progress with it.

That Tractor does not look tired like some I've seen...If you have any acrege to mow belly will come in real handy..Maybe have to rebuild spindles in mower with bearings ..But compare it in quality to something that will cost you big $$Great Find...Br,

Thanks for the input guys. I was pretty sure it was a good deal.
I have no problem tackling the fuel issues, and whatever else it might need. I also probably wind up restoring it as I go along, too.
I just need to decide if I really need it. I do mow 2-3 acres, and I have another 3+ acres that I would like to cut once or twice a year (my neighbor farmer cuts it for mulch hay for now). I thought I might be able to use the belly on the lawn and the sickle bar on the field. This tractor is way underpowered for a brush hog . . . :tsk:

Hi Jim,
We are practically neighbors as I'm in Saylorsburg, PA. I think you found one heck of a deal. I usually see the tractor alone in that kind of condition go for over $1000 with no attachments.

A friend of mine was looking for one of those and I found one nearby without any attachments in the condition similar to the one in the pics. They were asking $1200.00. It sounds like a good deal to me too.

Thanks for the encouragement. I decided to get it. I should have it home in a week or so. I'll post some more pics of the tractor and attachments when I get a chance to go through it all.
