Looks like they didn't waste much time converting this new JD into a puller. My question is what is this exhaust attacment that I have been seeing on the tractor pull pics. Is it some kind of filter/collector for the exhaust smoke? And/or is it also a sound deadener? For indoors only?

Here's the pic recently posted by JDA in the Gallery:

Speaking of the Gallery, this site is getting quite a good collection of tractor pics. :fing32:

Mow...I wish I had the answer for you. My neighbor, and my dad's friend, is the driver of the other puller I put on the gallery...Screamin DemonII, I could ask him. Another neighbor makes alot of the performance products as well as engine work on a good amount of these pullers. I like to go to our county fair and watch these guys pull but they do not have that attachment on their tractors then, so I'm sure you are close to the answer but I'm not certain. The fair board allows us "locals" to bring our antique tractors to pull these beasts back to the pits after their pull.
Thanks for noticing. :fing32:

Probably an indoor thing. I would rather breath in some fumes, so I could see the smoke! :bannana:

Yeah, you got that right Mow. It's like going to the dragstrip and smelling all that FUEL!

You would not want all that smoke. I have been in Freedom Hall when the smoke tube came unhooked. It was black in there for about 15 minutes. Alky powered tractors, trucks and Modifieds dont need this. If I knew how to post pics here I would put up some pictures from Bowling Green, OH last august as well as Ft. Recovery, OH, both big pulls.

Would you be able to email those pictures? I or someone else could post them on here for you.
