Anyone ever made a small 24 t0 48 inch wide dirt blade to attach to a BH bucket?

Never seen one, but seems like it would be a neat additon to the BH. Kinda use it to sweep the dirt around.

I got the idea while using the BH to move dirt further away from a ditch so I could scoop it up with the FEL without the dirt falling back into the ditch.
Seems to me I could move more dirt quicker with a small 2 - 4 foot blade than I can with the 10'' BH bucket.

I have used one on a case 580k backhoe. Its was able to rotate so you could push or pull dirt back towards the trench. But you need a backhoe with some swing power to use it.

I seen a dirt blade made from a old oil tank cut the top or bottom at curve add cut blade for bottom. attach hookup for your tractor.Old snow plow blade from highway snow plow makes a good cutting blade for bottom to save plow.you can make this full width of tank approx.6 feet or cot to width.

I've seen a local utility use something like that except it was more of a very wide shallow bucket. It really made good timebackfilling the trench! :fing32:
