I was talking with my father in law. He was checking out a Kioti CK25 (manual) at a local shop. Does anyone have any experience with this machine or kioti in general??
Never heard of it, thought we'd check on the forum for some imput, good/ bad.

Thanks

Well, and I'll probably get in trouble for this, but here goes! :fing20: My BIL bought a Kioti ck30 with Hydrostat in May 2005. He spent over $25,000 for FEL/tractor/BH. It is a fair machine if you don't do anything serious with it - as in - running a disc, harrow, cultivator, etc. He had it 2 months and the BH arm disintigrated. He has to be real careful what he puts behind it, for fear it will damage the PTO or other parts. A friend of mine has (had) one also. I drug him backwards with my 8N. He had a lot of problems with it. Some people love them, but I am used to something with a little more "beef" and "substance". They will make a great small acerage machine to do light landscaping. It is all person preference, but I would prefer not! I'm sure you will get others who give glowing praise. :hide:

I have heard landscapers talk bad about them after they did not hold up, and just cause it's Orange and looks pretty, don't mean it's like a Kubota. Kubota wins, hands down. Better resale too, but Deere wins that contest every time these years.

I have just heard about the older units, and have heard good things about them. Wether the new ones have held on to that toughness I dont know though.

Same here. In fact I've never heard anything negative about Kioti tractors. One of the heaviest in it's class, along with the Mahindra. Never owned a Kioti so I can't say for sure.

Compared to older American tractors that will pull until they stall, most imports of the same class have design limitations and they will eventually break IMHO.

Is there any American tractors that are completely (100%) native manufactured under 50 HP? I remember the good times when we turned out virtually indestructible (industry standards) tractors and machinery.

Thanks for the reports, that's what I love about this forum. You get the good and the bad. I've never seen a Kioti before my FIL brought it up. He said it looks to be built like a tank, the deal sounded pretty good FEL 5 ft mower and the 25 hp diesel for around 11,000. I still would rather see him get the JD 2210, I think he could get that for close to the Kioti price.

Odd - the "built like a tank" thing is exactly what my BIL said. He found out different! Oh well 1 For light use, it will be ok!

If considering a Deere, I'd go a size bigger than the 2210. They're just an overgrown lawn tractor. My dad has a 4100, and that's as small as I'd go. I've pulled a full size one bottom, 14" plow, a 6 foot disc, and 7 foot landscape rake with it, with only minimal traction problems.

Try to stick to shuttle shift geardrive transmission. CK 30 probably heaviest in class doubtfull an 8n drug it backwards. With a 4yr. warranty can't really go wrong. Plenty of hyd.flow and sold many TLB combos. Oldest Kioti dealer in louisiana.
