Anyone know of a site that has some good model cars you can build? I'm wanting to buy a few models to pass some time with.. would be nice to find some models of some old muscle cars like an old fastback charger any old muscle car would be sweet UNLESS you know of a good 1978 or 79 ford pickup or bronco!!

Here (http://www.ewa1.com/) would be a good place to start.

I have not built a model in years, so I am not sure of a good place to look. I think www.towerhobbies.com have some, or at least they did. I built alot of models over the years, but most my cars got destroyed somehow and most my airplanes fell victim to firecrackers. :14_6_5:

I think the last model I put together was a 1:12 scale Ferarri F-40. I would like to find a Cobra or 32 5 window.

My dad just gave me a few models he had laying around his house. It will be awhile before I put the 32 Ford and Cobra model together. The Davey Allison model will NOT be built, as it is still in the plastic wrap. I'm holdin' onto that one, as I expect it to be worth a little something someday.

Greg: I have a BUNCH of the Monogram NASCAR models.........I won several Best of Class ribbons and rosette's at our Co. fair with those models when I was in 4-H.

I at one time had more models than you could shale a stick at, but wasnt old enough to take care of them...or should I say leave them alone. The only NASCAR models I remember having was Bill Elliotts Coors/Melling Thunderbird, and I also had a Bob Glidden pro stock Thunderbird or Tempo. I still find myself in the model isle alot of times when at the store, but its been a long time since I have bought one. Im starting to get into the metal die cast cars, and so far have a Mustang GT, 427 Cobra and the new Ford GT (GT-40).

I have the Bill Elliott Coors/Melling T-Bird too :fing32: ....I also have Elliott's Melling #9....jeez, I would have to get into 2 BIG boxes to count all the models I still have....in their original boxes, with the instuctions with them.

I also have at least 2 of every one of the World of Outlaws sprint car models that Monogram made.

I'm hearing ya about tearing up the models.....I never destroyed any of the race cars, but the Night Rider Firebirds never lasted too long with me :trink40: ...also when I was 13-14, the neighbor kid and I would have 'demolition derbies' on his carport. The toughest cars I ever found were the '57 Chevy models by Monogram (now Revell), the 'fins' on the '57's would always put a 'hurtin on whatever car he had :bannana: course we cut up the parts trees and braced the heck out of the cars...and the whole tube of glue didn't hurt either....lol
