I guess I'm one of the "other sponsors", so I'll start this forum off.
As most of you know, I run a tractor salvage business with my father, so I am going to post a thread every week or so of new tractors in for parts. If you are not familiar with any of the tractors I post, feel free to ask questions, I'll do my best to give an answer.

One of the recent arrivals is this Fordson Dexta diesel. It's in pretty good shape, nice tin, bad engine (#s 1 and 2 rod bearings shot).

Great idea PM.

Not only gives us a chance to see what you got, but also, a way to see a bunch of old tractors. :D Noting like wondering through a bone yard!!! :)

Sounds like a good idea, parts man. That Ford Dexta would be a unique, and I'm sure challenging, acquisition for someone.

Mow, they basically evolved into the 2000 Ford tractor, this is the diesel model, 3 cylinder Perkins AD 3.144 engine.

good idea, this way if I asked you for a specific part you could show a picture to give the customer a good look and then you could make the deal.

BTW got a battery cover for a 574 IH. Mine is made of fiberglass and has a corner missing?

JDA, I think they almost all have at least one corner missing by now. :fing20: ROF I'll double check and get back to you by PM.

Don, I'm not sure of the years of production, but I believe that they were built in the early 60s. They are a decent enough tractor but parts are not that easy to find.

Looks like a good old tractor PM, solid, and the tires and wheels look pretty new, should be a great working machine with a little TLC :fing32:
