Not all manufacturers have pics, so keep scrolling, or choose the letter of the manufacturers name at the top.

Interesting link Greg. Was surprised not to see Bolens mentioned as they made walk behind tillers for some yrs.
Attached is a pic of a 1923 bolens.
Mikey,
If you go to the bottom of the "American" page, above, you will see other countries listed. Click on them for more tillers from Europe.

Mikey, it is strange that Bolens isn't represented with lots of pics and text. They were a main player....

That's interesting. This Chore Master is the same as my David Bradley.

My Engine Manual: (What the original engine looks like execpt mine has the extended intake manifold which raises the filter up higher like the one in the Choremaster Picture.)

Great link and interesting subject, Greg. The one in Mickey's pic looks like it would wear a fella out pretty quick!
I'll say, Curt.
Either one could cause you to lose a lot of weight real fast trying to manhandle it around the garden...if that's possible...Rock n Roll! ROF ROF

Don't know if you caught my link I posted to a .pdf file of the manual I made several months ago. It has some nice exploded views of the engine. But it is from Sears so I'm not sure whether the part numbers are Sears or Briggs. I did get a carb. rebuild kit for it using the manual. The guy at the local repair shop was still able to cross the numbers. But that was 15 years or so ago now. It's 4MB so it will take awhile to download for dialup internet connections.

I met the guy that has the homestead site at the show last fall at Waynes Agricultural center in NC, his name is Bob Due...Real nice guy who had lots of tillers including an old Ariens Trans-a-Matic. Tillers are how I started my outdoor power equipment hobby. I found an old tiller(Ariens Rocket) out by the side of the road. Since then, I have acquired a very rare Ariens Multimatic as well. Even led to me getting into the tractor scene with Ariens/New Holland.

I am having a heck of a time identifying this tiller. It was made for J.C. Penney, has an 8hp B&S engine and a serial number (tiller) of 3032 8. It is an orange/yellow color mid tine tiller.
Any help in finding out who manufactured it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sim

Good post. Thank you. When I was growing up we had one of the old wizards and it would wear you out if you ever got it started.
