Yep...she's got an Onan CCKA...my first!!
Did a bit of the head scratching when I couldn't find the starter.. :reallymad
Fortunately,I had seen mention of a starter/generator The Machine Builders Network and got confirmation from them guys that's what I was dealing with.
Darned thing has two battery trays, and one cable to connect two batteries..but I can't seem to find out just how they went together. From the cable arrangement, they are supposed to go in series...but is it two six volt or two twelves?? It does start slowly on a single 12...Found a manual online but it doesn't help and the diagram under the hood is shot...
Ed also gave me another just like it,but the engine is in REALLY bad shape.Gonna have to get it and hope the diagram is intact...but it's spare parts :bannana:

bobodu::: I would think it would be 12v. as that unit is older ..but not that old..Probably needs the initial power to turn that big generator on start up.. :fing32: .. Maybe check with guys on Sparks n Arcs (smokstak.com)...Man I Bet That Thing is Heavy...Br :omg:

I've got a 14 horse Kohler with the generator/starter thing. It turns over very slowly even with it's compression release setup. Always starts right up though so it hasn't been a problem.
