I have been messing around with brewing my own beer for awhile, and was wondering if anyone else here does the same? If so, what is your specialty or favorite?

I just tried a couple beers that my bro in law made. One was a chocolate stout that I didnt care too much for, and one was an apple cider beer that was excellent. Thought it might be interesting to hear some wild ingredients.

Any Homebrewers?

Well I do not brew it, but I'll sure drink it. Home brew is what they refer to it here as, and most of it tastes about the same and I have to say its extremely good..........The old fellow that I am buying the sawmill from makes it, and he has never drank any store bought stuff in years.....and always has some good old homebrew on hand as well as some moonshine...........Not really into the shine but can put a good hurting on homebrew.

The wife made an attempt to make homebrew one year, and IIRC she capped the bottles or whatever too soon.......there was glass all over the place when they busted. Most folks here use regular old mason jars (canning jars) to put their homebrew in.......

I don't brew it but my friend Jerry does. He always makes a keg (corny sp) for my Super Bowl Party of a dark beer that is fantastic. I have a bar in my basement that we use for party's it is hooked up for his homebrew and a keg of Regular beer. It always seems that his goes real quick and then we resort to the other keg beer. Jerry keeps a journal of what he makes , how it tasted, and the ingredients.
