I am almost completed the restoration of the TO-30. I was driving back from my girlfriends house today; the cotton has been pick and the field was bare on my trip back home. Sitting behind a barn was an unstyled, steel wheel, tractor with culivator, it was too far away for me to tell what it was. It looks has if it has been parked there for the last 50+ years. I was running late on time so I was unable to stop, but I might make a special trip there this week to make an offer.

Should I try to bring something back from the dead?

Wingnut, The same thing happened to me a year ago. I spotted an old yanmar behind a barn covered with blackberries, I drove up & asked them if they wanted to sell that hunk of iron and they jumped all over my offer. Now its in our parts yard and half gone.

Okay, I plan to go back to the tractor tomorrow and ask the farmer if he will sell to me. I use the trump card of BigorangeDan need a FFA restore project!

From what I could see the tractor is complete. Theres a lot of "No Tresspassing" sign that were just put up. I think it was to keep the quail and dove hunters away from a near by subdivision.

I plan to talk to the land owner tomorrow. I can't tell what brand the tractor is yet. Too far away about 100 yards off the road, is blocked by a barn, and is over grown with weeds.

The one thing you never do is jump a farmer fence, always walk through the gate when you are invited. This will insult the farmer and break any chance for a deal!
