Here are some pics of the Electric lift I got from Johnny Bucket. I've still not got it adjusted right or something. It'll work for a little while and it's like it binds up or something. I don't know, I played with for a while today, at times it would work great and then it would just stop working.

If you have intermitent operation, check to make sure that all electrical connections are tight and make sure your ground connection is tight.
Check to make sure the switch is mounted tightly.
Check to make sure the wires to the switch are tight.
Check your battery (power) connection. Is it tight.
Check any connection where two wires are joined together and make sure the connection is tight.
Check the connection to the actuator.
CHECK YOUR GROUND CONNECTION!!

It looks like a great addition! :fing32:
I was wondering what the specs were on the electric lift. how long does it extend, how much weight is it rated for and does it give you down pressure?
Thanks
Andy
Is there any mechanical binding that you can "see/hear"? Any metal to metal connections that don't look right when it stops? Can you take/post some pics close-up of the unit itself, especially when it stops.
Can you disconnect the actuator and try it by itself for any binding?

Greg/
I don't see or hear any binding. I don't know I've sent a couple of e-mails to Johnny Products and got a response fairly quickly. It did't help but I sent another one trying to further explain what it is doing. It works fine for a while and then just quits. I guess it gets tired. ROF I put the pics at the bottom.

Its a Bear Kodiak K2. I think its rated a little over 200lb. I'm not sure of the travel, but its alot more than I think I will ever need. It'll almost put the back on the hitch on the ground. Oh, and yes it has down force. I believe its the same amount of downforce as there is lift. I do know it will lift the back tires off the ground. Heres a link to their page.

Thanks Q'man,
I got my fingers crossed. I unplugged everything from the toggle switch and reattached them and it has worked just fine ever since. So I guess it was me that did something, not exatctly right. :bonk: Time will tell.
Marty,
Congrats....PM Ed and he'll give you an address to send the Crown Royal....

I like my setup the actuator is hidden from view and I can lift higher :)
sleeve hitch EBAY, 50 bucks & warn actuator 125 total cost 175 and a 10. switch
as you can see I can adjust the strenght of the sleeve hitch by moving it to a different pin or adjust link. it also affects amount of the motion. Gives me much more than just sticking the actuator vertically.

YaleVaHere,
I'm very interested in the rake attachment shown in your pics! Can you give me the who, where, what and how much on that?

Joe,
I got at Sears. Its a Craftsman, but I think its made by Agri-fab. Its 48" wide and it cost too much. I got it on sale for I think around $313. Usually its $329. I am glad I got it though. It does a wonderful job on our gravel driveway. I still need some practice on the edge of the drive with the rake angled. I had to order it. I ordered it on a Saturday and they had it that Monday. Here's the link to the Sears website.
