hey guys l always thought my 212 needed more weight on the back so l made a weight box for it for the winter. it's a real KISS design two bolts and it's off. will get pics of just the frame (the box off) when l paint it. what colour shoud l paint it
yellow- to match the snow blower?
green- to match the tractor?
black- just be cause ?

Nice job James. :fing32: I would paint the support rails JD yellow, and the box JD Green.

Hmmmm, my suggestion is the support arms black to match the frame, the box green to match the tractor, BUT the lid yellow to match the seat/blower!
BTW, that's a sharp looking 212!

thanks the 212 is the first tractor l had it 's my baby l need to do some tuch ups to the paint but seeing how it works all year round it's going to have to wait, would like to get another 212 to retire the old girl

I might go with a green box and rails. Then put a yellow stripe around the box like the hood or yellow John Deere decals on the sides of the box.

I would go all yelly. If you want to make it look like a factory attachment, all yellow I think would look better. You add green to it, and it screams "Homemade, or Home painted"

Looks like a great idea James! Nice to find a metal box like that. When you dont need the weight, it looks like a good place to keep some tools, a chain and maybe one of those mini kegs!
Paint it any color you like, it will look good back there.
