It's a '67 Lawn Ranger (Wheel Horse), It's still in the process of being reconditioned. The seat is still at the upholstery shop. The Ags are 18.50x9.50x8 if memory serves. Wheel weights are cast iron, swap meet finds, and weigh 20lbs each. Fender pan was modified to raise in the rear, revealing a small tool box area. It has a '68 3 spoke Lawn Ranger steering wheel, I have the original 2 spoke wheel, however it is broken into two pieces. I also have the mower deck, original and unrestored, in excellent condition.
When I first got the thing, some previous owner had hacked the hood all to pieces to install a B&S. I found a correct hood on ebay, and also a correct 6hp HH60 Tecumseh. Still have much more to do though. Oh BTW, I call the little fella "Buster"!

Juggler- looks neat. Lawn ranger was late 50's-60, weren't they? Doesn't it have a 3 sp. tranny? I'm a confirmed w/h nut, too-got a raider/12 basket case I'm going to get started on one of these days. How much time-wise do u figure currently on the 'horse?
Keep up the fine work-
:trink40:P.S. How sucessful are u on e-bay for w/h parts?

My book lists the first Lawn Ranger as a 1962. The last of the horizontal shaft round-nose Lawn Rangers was 1968. The Lawn Rangers were continued on after 1968, but were equipped with vertical shaft engines, and the newer square hood styling. I'm not too familiar with those.
eBay... I've found to be a crap shoot. Parts are not always as good as described. Parts tend to run high $-wise. However, it is a good place to look for hard to find items. Guys are always parting out old Horses, and you can sometimes find a jewel in the rough.
Good luck with your Raider 12, I've been tempted several times by that model.
Seems like I run across a nice one every so often. But I have space constraints. :eck34:

Juggler,
Nice!! :bannana:
My sons and I have a '66 Lawn Ranger in pieces right now. My uncle had bought it new and it's been around the family and finally landed in our garage. The boys want to fix it up and ride it in the local garden tractor pulls.
I noticed your looks like the L-107(pull start). Mine was originally the L-156(electric start) but the original engine is long gone & I found a newer 6HP Tecumseh pull start to put in it.
Good luck with and hopefully in a couple of months I'll have pics to post of mine during restoration work.

Yup! They are east of where I'm located, but not far from the ice rink where my kids play hockey & figure skate. Never been able to get autograph but have been in their store. Since they got famous they have somewhat distanced themselves where the public is concerned.

You asked what I have? I got interested in garden tractors three years ago. This is what is has led to.
JD 111
JD 210
AMF 1010
MF 8
CubCadet 1420
Ralley 18HP
2 Sears LT 10's
Wheelhorse 876
Wheelhorse B-100 latest
And lot's of parts
I've got them all working like new but I haven't yet painted some of them, some I'm not going to. The 210 is all done, the 111 too. The AMF 1010 is almost like new after rebuilding the engine and trans. The 1420 doesn't need anything, great mower.
The 876 I rebuilt the engine, Kolher 181S, the rest is original, kinda rough but all there. I bought this for the engine but fell in love with the tractor so.......
The B-100 I just got last month, rebuilt the transmission as the low gear was broken, replaced the seals and gear, now on to paint as the rest is really nice, a favorite already.

I'd get to get ahold of an 876. It would make a nice mate for my 856 :D
Welcome aboard.

That's one nice tractor. Rear wheels are something.tractors without runningboards are kind of scary though
