Did some modification to the blade to make it a grader box too.The "ell" brackets are just tacked on to try it out.I intend to make them pivot to the rear for use as a straight blade when I need that.Pull a pin and swing the wings back...

I love innovation also but you have to love it when it all comes together/ You saved a chunk of change with that new blade. It is always fun when you can push around dirt w/ a tractor :bannana: and more so when you made the piece to do the scrapping :fing32:

Funny you mentioned saving money...I have about $15 in the blade.Had to buy the square tube :banghead3
I was running my route and thinking about the blade and what a chunk of steel that heavy was gonna cost me.I thought "God...it's sure be nice to find a piece of steel laying out here." BANG!!! Like a bolt of lightning...turned a corner and there ...by the side of the road... lay TWO pieces of 20 X 30 X 1/4 plate cut from a water tank!! :omg:
I don't buy lottery tickets and don't do extreme sports...ain't gonna press my luck :tsk:
Funny how God works....

I made my box blade out of 3/8" plate welded together, 2 1/2" angle for the braces, three" angle for the scarfer teeth mount, replacable front blade and hinged rear blade. Looked at some big tractor box blades to get my ideas. I needed a 4' one and all that size I looked at weren't heavy duty enough for what I wanted to do.
