Can anyone tell me how to post an image using Safari and OS 10?

When I click on the insert image button the dialogue box that comes up asks me for text I want formated, then when I click OK, it puts that text in [IMG] brackets as a hyperlink instead of actually inserting the image.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you trying to upload the image from your harddrive or from webspace?

If it's from your HDD, you need to use the 'Attach Files' option located below the text input box. You need to click the "Manage Attachments" button, then click "Browse" button in the pop-up window - locate the file you want to upload - then click the "Upload" button. After you get confirmation that it uploaded, close that pop-up window. You should then be back in your original window. Click the "Submit Reply" button & you're good to go! :D

I guess I didn't state the question right...

What I want to do is reference the .jpg on my server, to save storage space on the MTF server!

As stated in my original post, when I try to add an image to my post, the resulting instructions that appear when the Insert Image button is clicked ask me to "enter text to be formated" and when I enter what should take the viewer to the host site, it instead makes a hyperlink that has to be clicked to veiw the photo.

This is comletely different then when the same proceedure is done on my brothers computer, a Windows XP machine using Firefox.

Maybe something is set wrong either in my user settings or in Safari?

Neither guided or enhanced mode seems to work predictably!

Thanks!

Sounds like you're clicking the "Insert hyperlink" button instead of the "insert image" one. The image button will give you the IMG tags and you can put your link between them, whereas the hyperlink button lets you make a link to your image. I just tried both ways and they worked fine.

The first is using the Insert Image button:

Then the Insert Hyperlink button:
