I am posting this in this forum for the following reasons!

1. Folks are requesting that these be installed in the Big Kubotas and McCormicks we sell.
2. I just recieved my XM2go MyFi today and already installed it in my Kubota RTV 900WS and am fabricating a mount for my Kubota B7510..
3. I love it, it's the best toy I've acquired in some time, as I am on the road a lot this is just the ticket and makes life a lot nicer!

Here is a link for those that would like to try it yourself for 3 days on your computer!!

Just click in the upper right corner after the page opens!

I have thought about getting it too Dean since i'm on the road a lot myself. I usually just listen to whatever local stations are available , but i drive so fast over the speed limit that i always have the C.B turned up for Bear reports. :dogrun:

That is good advice Dean , But It's in my brain to get there as fast as i can and then get home as fast as i can. :fing20: Gotta get back to MTF you know, because I might miss something when i'm gone......Besides..... You might get one up on me on a post, and you know we can't have that. :fing02: There is nothing like the squelch of the CB to keep me awake. :banghead3

With a decade and a half to the north side of you and have more license's than any one man should ever have, Aviation and now a CDL I have no doubt about your experience nor your ability, frankly what upsets me is all the DS's that try their damnedest to kill us!!

In aviation most are at least competent to be at the point in space that they are occupying at the moment (not all to be sure)!

The Roads that you and I share are a direct opposite to my previous statement! Put a different way I have found a whole box just chucked full of new blue words to use @##$*&^%$ and never lack for an opportunity to look for more!!

I don't need to tell you that they are out there by the dozens and they sure must like us cause they just can't wait to get closer!!

Take care,

My brother was driving down I 70 yesterday going into Columbus Ohio when he passed a wreck where a semi crossed the median strip and hit a car head on. He said the dust hadn't even settled yet . There was nothing left of the car as that guy died (probably instantly). We never heard the condition of the truck driver or what happened. We assumed he either fell asleep or had a heart attack. Here one minute and gone the next........ Kind of scary.

I have had Sirius Radio for almost a year now and love it. I can not remember the last time I listened to local radio stations. I travel across the state about once a month for work and there is a huge dead spot, but not with the sat. system and I do not have to nuts around with CD's. They are constantly adding new stations including talk radio of every kind, right wing , left wing, comedy, classic radio, every major news outlet, religion, and even a trucker channel. As far as music goes if you can not find something you like you don't like music.
My unit goes from truck to truck and into work with me. I have a boom box a home docking station and two vehicle docks. The set-up I use requires no hard wiring in my rides, just tune to the right frequency and it sends a signal. We did a test with a bunch of cars parted near my truck and they could all tune in. The signal is suprizingly strong. My son drove off and was still picking it up at a quarter mile.

We have a couple Delphi SkyFi XM radios for the vehicles, the boombox, and an XM PCR for the computers. I want to get another boombox for the barn. My wife and I both love XM, we never listen to AM or FM anymore. There's just so much variety on XM and you never have to worry about losing the station on long trips.

Do either XM or Sirius offer a one time lifetime membership fee? I thought I heard that once. I hate the monthly bill crap but would spring for a one time fee as long as there were no strings attached.

Can go up to 3 years on XM I think but I opted for a year!! Refundable at any time for period not used!!

I think these guys are doing it right!!

I looked at both XM and Sirius before I bought my set-up and for me Sirius had some programming I like better. They carry all The NFL games, both home and away coverage, the NHL, same way if they ever play hockey again, college football, and now they are going to carry all the NASCAR races. As far as the music goes they seem fairly comperable.XM carries Oppie and Anthony, Sirius is getting Howard Stern so if titilation and childish programming is your bag, pick your posion.
As far as subscriptions go both offer long term, Sirius is offering a lifetime deal, but only until June, then some sort of change is coming. Both offer the service on your computer with your subscrition. As far as talk radio and news channels both have more then you could ever listen to, including the heavy hitters.
My brother has the XM set-up in his pickup truck and I have listened to it, quality of the sound is the same. As far as hardware goes it is getting to be how much do you want to spend. I also have a selfish motive for my choice, I have some stock in the company. Doing very well Thank You! I bought my first batch at $2.35 a share and more at $3.45. Not running a minute by minute ticker tape, but I believe it is bouncing around the $6.00 mark right now. In the news letter I recieve the company is coming out with hardware that will allow you to put programming into memory, so you can listen to your favorites when you want. I imagine XM will do the same. There is also talk of video to go with the music, just what I need something to watch while I'm driving.
The down side of both systems is thier inability to recieve signal inside buildings, Not unlike Sattelite TV. On my way to work I only have one small stretch of road going around a hillside where I lose signal, but do not lose it on my way home.
My assesment, buy what ever system you like, I think they are both going to be around a long time. The technology is the same and the price is comperable.
