Thanks, it certainly is a fun yet expensive sport.

The photo below was probably the best ride of the season, some 50+ miles breaking trail. Fuel mileage was very poor but the smiles per mile was SKY high. :D
Very addicting sport.

You need moose radar in these parts... Tons of swamp donkeys up where that photo was taken. Nearly hit two within a week of eachother at the end of the season.

And thanks, I know its a Cat but....
Hey, I logged on some 3600 trouble free miles last season. Well, that's until this happened.
:D
Not the sleds/brands problem, broken bolt on a set of aftermarket skis.
New grade 8 bolts installed now.
Rode it out.

Ethanol didn't kill it... The 550 fan cooled motor was another one with problems. And, not because it has problems but because it wasn't driven the way it was set up to be driven.

MANY 550 owners had problems because the sleds were ridden more "lightly". And, on the lower end of the RPM spectrum, the stock jetting was too lean. If you drove the sled hard, you would almost never have an issue. If you were on the lower end of the RPM range, you were running more predominantly in the pilot jet-assist range, and were not getting enough fuel.

The Mrs got a new to her sled and she loves it.
2014 ZR 7000 Limited

I also got a new to me one as well.
2014 XF 8000 Limited.

We weren't planning on getting matching sleds, it just worked out that way. Oh well.

Wow, nice looking pair of sleds! How do you guys like them so far?

haven't been out yet but I did purchase a new 2016 Axys Pro.

Also a pic of my riding partner from last year, we had some large forest fires a few years ago.
Congrats!! Looks like fun out there! :thThumbsU

I am a newb to the snowmobiling scene. A buddy of mine bought a vacation place in Northern WI so I figured what the heck and picked up a 2008 Yamaha Nytro with 336 miles on it, that had never ridden on the trails. Last year was bad for snow and this year isn't shaping up much better. We got good snow early then more and it got real warm and rained turning everything to ice. :tango_face_sad:

Going up North later in the week. Yamaha's are heavy but make real good power, this has the 1049cc Genesis in it, sounds fantastic.:tango_face_smile_bi

Finally got some snow, riding around here this morning and heading up North tomorrow.

Just got back from 4 days of riding in the Hayward WI. area. Trails were great but warm weather and rain has ruined things here. Came back to 1" of ice on the driveway.:tango_face_sad:
