Making a sleeve hitch?

Sunday I was outbid on a 70s Wheel Horse sleeve hitch. I need one for my 520xi. I don't want to spend big $$ on one. Several places sell the galvanized 1.5" x 1.5" tube steel with the holes already drilled in it. I forget the name of the company that makes it but they are in Colorado. I'm thinking of using it to make my sleeve hitch so I can use the back blade on my tractor this winter. Are there specs for sleeve hitches?

Toro 5xi & NH GT18/20/22 owners can join my new Toro 5xi page on Facebook. My Horses: Toro 520xi & 522xi. Toro 5xi prototype hood. WTB: for Toro Xi series 52" deck 78370/78375 and a mule drive for a 79365 single stage snowblower. For sale & Ebay: 60" deck from a Toro 724z, Case sweeper parts, 94 Murray front axle, wheels & drag link. Toro 266-H rear attachment bracket. My Ebay ID: Mustangboyd.

Re: Making a sleeve hitch?

Here's a set of plans for building a sleeve hitch for the Bolens tube frames.

Most of it won't apply for your application, but it does have the measurements for the 'business" portion that you are looking for.
