i was bidding on one at an auction down the road... it was probably 10 years old, and sold for >$1000.. i think that one sells for $1200 new today (10 years ago it was prob. $800).
it was well used, but tight, and no leaks from the gearbox. built almost as tough as my danuser F7.
having said all that:u have nothing to worry about with this unit.
however, if you are buying a used one, and someone was commercial-drilling 500 holes a day for 15 years with it, stored it outside, in the rain and snow, and never changed the oil/grease in the gear box - i don't care who made it - it will be worn out.
