72" BMB Finish mower

Whats the trick to getting the belt on this finish mower? When I got it the belt was broken, so I got a new one (176" long)
I have had this thing on anout a dozen times and every time it twists around and walks off one of the pulleys. I dont know what I'm doing wrong.
Heres a pic of what I'm working with.

My guess is that you're missing a twist, somewhere. I have no idea where... and I realize that this isn't much (any?) help.

Hopefully... it'll get you some more attention, though....

So is there supposed to be a twist in the belt?

Re: 72" BMB Finish mower

I've looked all over the internet for any info ont this mower and all I can find is that BMB was bought by Rhino in the 80's. I'd like to find a manual so I can see what I'm doing wrong. I've tried twisting the belt so many different ways and it still does it every time. I just dont understand what I'm doing wrong.

Honestly... I can't tell you for certain, but... I believe that there normally should be a twist in a belt that has a 90 "bend"...

I'd have to say... keep looking for that manual (unless somebody else here knows more about these than I do).

I'm not more help...
