Default Ok can anyone ID this tractor

The pic is dated early 50's, and the operator is me, but for the life of me I can not remember what brand of tractor it was..Something tells me it was a McCormick as IIRC thats all my grandfather had was McCormicks and then Farmalls..........all I remember for the most part is it was a red color .....

I would say it is a McCormick Deering, using the side cowling as a guide. Attached is a McCormick Deering 15-30

Don't get me wrong, I do not remember when that photo was taken, nor remember anything from that timeframe, but as I got older I recall that same tractor still on his farm. It does resemble a McCormick Deering with the shape and form of the fuel tank, wheels and steering colume, and since he had McCormicks initially I have to think its a McCormick........Any idea on the year of this thing?

I would say late 20's to early 30's.

Here's a couple of 1928 models - a 10-20 and the larger 15-30.

looks to be either a 10-20 or a 15-30, 22-36 do you remember if the seat was in the center or against the right fender. the w30 has the exhaust up through the hood and i didn't see a pipe in your picture
10-20 1923-39
15-30 1921-28
22-36 1929-34 (new 15-30) bigger sleeves and water pump instaed of thermo siphon

Chip,

I was at the Wester MN Steam Threshers show grounds today working on my friends Farmall "M" and sitting right next to us was a 22-36 McCormick Deering that looked just like the one in your photo, except it was on full steel. I wish I would have had my camera with me, but I never even thought about it!

Your tractor is Definitely McCormick, but I can't be sure of the size.

Well since you said he had McCormicks around, thats probably what it is, I was gonna guess a Minneapolis Moline.
