H2O Blows

Greetings!! Back from the dead, alot will know what I mean, others can just wonder.
As most of you know my boys and I play w/ all kinds of things, Science is our favorite.
Coolhandluke is my boy, this year for the science project he wanted to run a gas engine on water, allow me to explain.
H2O is 2 parts hydrogen, one part oxygen, what makes it water is the electron that hold the molocule together, remove it and you have a gas that explodes, BIG TIME!!
Our reactor was the largest we ever built, 12-24" stainless steel plates, about 3 1/2" wide. We used a car battery and charger for the power needed. We were not able to produce enough hydrogen to run a small engine.
We decided to catch 4 gal of hydrogen in a bucket and run the engine that way. Picture this~ a 50gal garbage can full of water, a 5gal bucket full of water upside down in the garbage can, a tube runs from our reactor into the upside down bucket, collecting the hydrogen as we make it. When the bucket is filled @ the 4 gal mark we move the tube to the engine carb and push the bucket all the way down to the bottom of the garbage can, the water pressure pushes the hydrogen out of the bucket and into the carb.
3rd pull the engine backfires and explodes the 4gal of hydrogen!!! BOOMSHAKALAKA!!!! It was like a 1/2 stick!! The garbage can splintered into about 70 pcs!! The bucket was in about 4 pcs!! Thank God the Garbage can was filled w/ water, it protected us all.
FREE ENERGERY is dangerous!!
The boys and I are ok, we still have all major limbs and both eyes,,,,but if you ever try this @ home....take the safty seriously.

I bet after it was over, and you knew all were all right... You all were there saying... WOW.. that was cool.

Ive heard about that before, but never realy looked into how it works. If I ever get the bug to try it, Il remember this.

Re: H2O Blows

Lucky thing you weren't running it straight from the generator!! Glad you are OK! Perhaps the H and the O should be kept separate until the engines carb??
