Stalls and backfires??

Hello,, first off its a wh212-5 32-12B501...

Here is the problem, i cleaned the carb.. best i could,, changed the plug.. and setup the carb, this is a The Large One-piece Flo-jet Carburetor , i set the jets top idle mxiture to 1.5 turns for each. It runs great on idle and runs great at high speed. but once i put it in gear, it goes about 10 ft and then gags for something and backfires out the exhaust. then stalls. if i quicly put the break on and lower the idle sometimes it will catch and run ok again, but once it is in gear and goes a bit 10ft.. it starts over again.. im not sure what is going on. valves perhaps?? im open for suggestions please.. thanks in advance..
