Thats the worst I have seen,,lol. I would run it before getting into it too deep. If it sounds good,,fix it.
If you are removing the engine you might as well put a set of head gaskets on it,,,,,valve cover gaskets.
A carb cleaning wouldn't hurt it either. IMO---worth fixing up as long as no noise from rods /pistons.
I just rebuilt the same engine,,carb kit,head gaskets,valve gaskets all new seals and rings. Cost me about $200. I don't recall what I paid for rings.
