Tecumseh H60 linkage

Need help on the correct hookups for the spring and link on a tecumseh H60. When I got it the link was on backwards, so flipped it and it runs good now, but if anyone can verify the hole setup that would be great.

I sketched the hole pattern in the throttle. Right now I have it in the lower left hole.

Thanks,

Gus

Not sure because of the bracket but I can say if you give me the Engine number I can give you the linkage setup.

As near as I can tell you use the hole furthest out so you will get full throttle plate opening.

Ok this is what I found out 143.586012 - H60-75264G

Series 1 carb two different throttles on this one both have one hole which is out further than the rest and thats the one to use, so what I would do is is close the throttle to idle then hold the governor at it's lowest then see if it lines up with the hole on the outside of the throttle it should open all the way with movement from the governor.

As far as I can see you have it all in the proper locations.

No problem, but if anyone else has a better grasp of the layout (linkages) I hope they chime in.

Re: Tecumseh H60 linkage

Thanks for your help guys! I have a vintage Yard Man Snobird with a 5hp Tec engine and I was looking everywhere for this particular governor setup. This is just what I was looking for. I set up the gov and now it runs fine. I'm keeping a copy of this page for future reference.

Re: Tecumseh H60 linkage

Anyone can download a free copy of the Tecumseh engine book from the MTF library...over here: Tecumseh Technicians Manual - 3 to 11 HP 4 Cycle L-Head Engines

It shows the various governor linkages, but I think ranchkingron got it pretty close to where ya need to be.

Re: Tecumseh H60 linkage

Wow, thanks for the link. What a great asset this manual will be. I looked at so many search leads I couldn't see the forest for the trees. Now I know where to find it. Much appreciated.
