Free Posting Pictures on MTF

I found a quick and easy way to post pictures..

If you need help, please feel free to PM me..

Click on TinyPic..Then add it to your bookmarks/favorites..

When using tinypic.com, use the resize feature and select "message board (640X480)"..

Click on "Browse" to find your picture on your computer, then click on "Upload Now".

When your upload is complete, highlight and copy "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards"

Now paste that IMG Code into the body of your post/reply Thread on MTF..Just like I did to make this post..

Thats it!!! You are done..

Yes, they are owned by Photobucket..

Using TinyPic, you do not have to fill up your album, and it seems a lot more user friendly!!

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

Yes, there is another way to upload pictures.

When you are either starting a new thread or replying to someone else's thread (in this case you have to Go Advanced, not Post Quick Reply), after you type your message you scroll down the page to the button that says "manage attachments". When you click on that button, another page will open and give you the opportunity to find a photo that is actually on your computer. You can post up to 4 per message. You click on the "Browse", find your picture, which has to be within the limits allowed as far as size goes, click on the picture after you find it, hit the "Upload" button, and there you go. Very easy once you do it a time or 2. There is actually a "Test" forum on here that you can give it a few tries to see how things work out for you.

Please advise if you have any other questions, or if you don't understand.

It's a great place to spend some time every day!

Dble click on the Image while in your Gallery. When it opens in the upper right corner is a Image Tool button that has a edit Image button in it to click and it will take you to where you can add a Description.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

I post my pics in the following manner.

One, note though, I do this with Chrome, this CAN be done in IE, but its convoluted and Im not sure if you can do it at all in FireFox.

1. Browse to the pic you want to post in your respective photo hosting site in a new tab, I use Flickr.

2. If in Chrome, right click on pic and select "copy image URL". Now go back to your tab with your forum post. If in IE, good luck, Ive done it once or twice before but for the life of me cant remember how.

3. Click the icon to the right of the fonts and sizes menu at the top of your forum post window that looks like the mountain with the sun in the top right corner.

4. Youll be prompted with a window that says "please enter the URL of your image".

5. Right click in the area where "HTTP" is highlighted.

6. Choose "paste". Click "ok"

7. Youll now see your pics URL wrapped in [img] automatically appear in your forum post text window.

8. If your finished, click to the right of the right most [img]and hit enter to continue typing.

9. If youre not finished, click to the right of the right most [img] and hit enter and repeat steps 1-6 and complete step 8 when your done adding pics to your post.

I know there are a few steps here, but it is really more simple than some of the other ways. All in all, after youve browsed to the pic you want to post, its only six clicks to post your pic. The enter after the right [img]s wouldnt be needed except for the fact that the links highlight after theyre inserted. If you hit enter with the link highlighted it screws things up.

Hopes this helps somebody.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

But only took me 2 clicks. Went to Photobucket/Tinypic, Cicked image code, came here and right clicked and pasted, or even simpler, ctrl+v to paste. and typed and done.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

I see what your saying, I guess its a shame Im into Flickr with so many pics already, I might switch. On the other side of the coin though, you can do my process with ANY pic on the web, not just ones in your personal photo account. Say you want to show someone elses pic as an example, just find it online and follow my steps.
