I effect, you are "hot linking".. I use it a lot..

When you are either starting a new thread or replying to someone else's thread (in this case you have to Go Advanced, not Post Quick Reply), after you type your message you scroll down the page to the button that says "manage attachments". When you click on that button, another page will open and give you the opportunity to find a photo that is actually on your computer. You can post up to 4 per message. You click on the "Browse", find your picture, which has to be within the limits allowed as far as size goes, click on the picture after you find it, hit the "Upload" button, and there you go. Very easy once you do it a time or 2. There is actually a "Test" forum on here that you can give it a few tries to see how things work out for you.

Please advise if you have any other questions, or if you don't understand.
Hey Brad, I use to use your way all the time but not any more. All it says after hitting the UPLOAD button is "Uploading file(s)" and nothing else happens. I use Firefox, hope that is not the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

I use FireFox too, so that's not the issue. I would bet that the issue is the actual file size of your photos. Right click on one of them and check the file size, in KB or MB. The site only allows a file size of 144.5 KB for JPEG photos. If it's a little over, the software will resize them down to the maximum for you, but if it's a lot over, it won't, and just sit and grind or give you a message about the file size being too large.

Again, check the file size on one of your photos and let us know what it is. We'll do whatever we can to help you out.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

Thanks for the info. The last few times I was using my new Smartphone and the pictures must have a lot more Megapixels in it compared to my Digital camera. I never had to change anything before using my camera but had to resize down quite a bit to get the pictures to upload to this site when using my phone. Thanks for the quick reply, it was very helpful to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Re: Posting Pictures on MTF

Not sure if you saw another post in this thread advising a second way to post photos, but here is an easy way:

When you are either starting a new thread or replying to someone else's thread (in this case you have to Go Advanced, not Post Quick Reply), after you type your message you scroll down the page to the button that says "manage attachments". When you click on that button, another page will open and give you the opportunity to find a photo that is actually on your computer. You can post up to 4 per message. You click on the "Browse", find your picture, which has to be within the limits allowed as far as size goes, click on the picture after you find it, hit the "Upload" button, and there you go. Very easy once you do it a time or 2. There is actually a "Test" forum on MTF that you can give it a few tries to see how things work out for you.

Please advise if you have any other questions, or if you don't understand.
