Why can't I view pictures?

I can open any thread and read it, but if it has attached pictures, I am forbidden to view them. Can anyone explain what causes this?

I sent your problem to higher authorities. Hopefully, a resolution will be forthcoming in the near future.

Re: Why I can't view pictures?

Fellas, Thanks for your help. I don't know what happened but pictures now appear. Before, the picture url showed up at the bottom of the post. I clicked on the url and received a message that I was not allowed to access that url/picture.
Now, the pictures are included as a viewable image in the posts. I hope the glitch has gone away!
Thanks, Tim

Re: Why can't view pictures?

I wanted to add a note here for those that have registered but have not yet made any posts that are unable to view photo attachments. Try making a brief post in the Introduction forum and within an hour check if you can then see the attachments.

(The post in the Introduction forum triggers the final step in the forum software's account authorization/authentication process. )

Re: Why can't I view pictures?

I am having trouble seeing the photos as well. I have posted in the Introduction forum but still only see "Attached Thumbnails" in bold. Once a link to the photo loaded but when I clicked on it I got "forbidden to view", have not seen the link since.
I tried Chrome and Firefox, logged out and in several times.

Thanks
Chris

Chris, if you are using an ad blocker, you may not be able to view pictures on here unless you whitelist MTF in the ad blocker settings.

Re: Why can't I view pictures?

This has happened to my Firefox browser several times recently. I used the 'Refresh Firefox' option - click on the 3 vertical bar menu, then the ? mark, then Troubleshooting Information, then Give Firefox a tune-up. You will have to reset any adblockers or other plug-ins.

Re: Why can't I view pictures?

Hey,

As said, if you are using an ad blocker. If you go in and white-list/allow verticalscope to run, it should fix the issue.

Glad it's working for you. Keep in mind that VPN can slow down a site's speed.

Re: Why can't I view pictures?

So, I began having the same problems sometime during the last week. There are some pictures that I can see, but most come up as "Attached Thumbnail". At the same time this happened, I lost the ability to use "quick reply". The button does nothing at all. I have to use "advanced" to reply. Also, my "edit" button is gone from my posts and yesterday I posted a new thread with a long first post. All of my paragraphs were run together as one long glob of letters. I turned off my pop-up blocker and checked all of my security and browsing settings. Everything looks normal. Either IE updated without me knowing or something on the site has changed. Also, it is getting very slow here...opening a thread takes several seconds. My internet is 6 up and 60 down and generally runs faster than that, so it is not on my end. Finally, I tried to delete some of the pictures that I have downloaded to posts. I go to my "User CP" and find the images, but it will not let me delete them.Any help would be appreciated.

I own a 2017 Simplicity Prestige 27/52 EFI.
From 2015 to 2017 I owned a used 2013 Simplicity Conquest 27/50.
From 1996 until 2015 I owned a White LT-16 Vanguard V-twin and 2 stage blower.
In 1991 I purchased a used 1984 Gilson 16 HP opposed twin. It was a horse!
