Re: How did you hear about MTF

Well thank ye kindly Argee, Jody, John, n' everbody else. Looks like a great bunch o' fellers around here.

While I'm at it, got another couple questions: exactly what's the deal with Ford and New Holland? Was NH a separate entity at one time and now just a branch of Ford? I've seen equipment with just the NH name on it is one reason I ask. Don't know the history and was wondering.

FWIW, I'm an antique tractor nut(ain't we all?) and pretty much like anything old-even including people. Oops, not meaning to offend anyone, so... how's about seasoned citizen-is that agreeable? (you can really learn a lot from folks what's BTDT.) Hope one day to join their ranks so I can tell all them young whippersnappers just what fools 'n idiots they're all a-bein'-HA!

Thanks again, and I'll be around,
Snuffy

Re: How did you hear about MTF

I think it was a GW thread after the old TF-site went down. Yep, I'm sure of it, that was it.

Re: How did you hear about MTF

I did a search looking for info on restoring my 1944 John Deere B. I had gone to the message board for Green Magazine but I like a forum a lot better because there are a lot of fun topics to talk about other than tractors.

Nothing runs like a Deere!

Re: How did you hear about MTF

I was searching for prices of old tractors and found a link to a post on this site. Unfortunately the link in that post was dead. I feel very lucky that I stumbled on this site.

Re: How did you hear about MTF

Not very new here, but I saw a post on GW before it was yanked and jumped over here and have been back twice a day everyday since. Thanks a lot to whoever that was, I really appreciate you taking my job and personal life and ripping it away....

Just kidding, I wish I could remember who it was so I could thank them personally.

Jeff

Re: How did you hear about MTF

There was all this super secret postings of a better site over on GW back in the summer but nobody would mention the name or post a link until I read a post where ole USN Ed got sent to disney

I had noticed that he hadn't posted at GW inwhile and just thought he had went and got himself drunk and was sleeping with his craftsman
It was in that thread that I finally got the name and I believe a link to here.
Great site

Re: How did you hear about MTF

Was a member of the old TF.com, then several weeks later, Jody emailed me and let me know about MTF and I've been here ever since.
