Search subscriptions

I currently have around 270 subscriptions spread over 11 pages of topics helpful to the tractors and attachments I own. All of the forums have a "Search this Forum" feature to find threads related to a desired topic. Is there any way the Moderators or website folks could add a "Search Subscriptions" function at the top of the Subscriptions List for a member's User CP? At present I have to scroll through all 11 subscription pages to find relevant threads for the topic I am looking for.

Is there any way of saving a post within a thread, similar to a subscription, but without subscribing to the whole thread. For example, the threads "What did you do with your XXXX tractor today?" sometimes have helpful posts where someone solved a problem in a post that you would want to save. If you subscribe to the thread, you are bombarded with email notifications of new posts because that thread is continually active and shortly don't remember why you subscribed or what the post was that you were interested in or have any way of finding the post. I suppose that one could do a Search this Thread after a Search this Forum but you are still bombarded with notifications if you subscribe.

Thanks for your consideration of these issues.

MTF is my favorite tractor forum and I frequent it nightly.

Re: Search subscriptions

The tech team will have to look into your first question Paul, but I think what we would need in the second one is a "Favorites" area in your UserCP. A checkbox in every post would copy the post into the member's favorites area and would probably have to be organized by date.

Re: Search subscriptions

I am looking to see if there is a plugin that might help "Save Posts". In the mean time, subscribing to a thread and marking it no notifications will allow you to keep it archived.

Re: Search subscriptions

You could of course also add the thread to your own browser bookmarks. If you click the post number in the corner of the post it will give you the post URL, from there you can add it to your bookmarks.

Re: Search subscriptions

Thanks. I was not aware that I could bookmark an individual post. For the high volume subscriptions I am selecting no email notifications.
