Re: need help with a tread

Hey there

I'm not sure what would have caused that for you. I see you mentioned in the thread it has corrected itself for you now. If you come across across it again, can you grab a screenshot? I think I understood your text write up, but to be sure, a picture of what you see helps our tech gurus out a lot

it was wierd.. first time I saw this happen.. don't know how to do a screen shot on this PC.. the post count had one posting without a count number.. above it the numbers were ++ type.. below it they were the - - type.. the + & - appeared before the numbers.. 3 had a - number.. then a blank ##.. then the rest were + number.. the 3 with - number was by the OP.. his comment in the last was 'nobody cares' then I saw one by Eric that had no post count..

I viewed the tread cause years ago I had a JD 10-32 blower.. it was a beast.. it could really blow snow too.. when the tread came up I was lookin for the pics he posted.. didn't see them after scrollin down to the ##1 postin.. then I noticed there was a blank on post count & the pics were below that.. that's when I saw the -- post count.. I thought WTF is goin on here.. I found the tread in ACTIVE TOPICS.. I went back by clickin ACTIVE TOPICS again.. then brought up the tread again.. it still had funny ##.. I then did multiquotes of all.. the post count was shy 4 numbers then..

Re: need help with a tread

Dayle, in that thread, at 5:05PM in addition to what Whirly mentioned, I noticed that I was reading post 13 of 9. This has happened before. Shortly thereafter, it corrected itself. I figured one of the techs was working on the code.

Going to run a re-syncing tool on my end. Hopefully will put these quirky behaviors down.

Happens at least once a month over on the Ford side Whirly.

I think maybe 2 people hit the post button at the exact same time and the system gets confused.

Sometimes stays out of sync for a few hours and sometimes a couple days.

We get lots of immediate email advisories for posts that don't appear until many hours later, just lost in cyberland.

No doubt just takes a behind the scenes human touch to get it back on track.

Re: need help with a tread

looks like the thread is back to normal though. Do you have other examples?

I think the site just needed to be re-synced.
