We cant get a break from it here in north Georgia, we got 2" last night and the weather man said we're in a flood watch for the next 3 days. We cant go more than a couple of days without it raining and its been that way since around Jan/Feb and dont look like any end of it no time soon. I'm 50 and have never seen it this wet this time of year.

Same thing up here. I think it has rained part of every day for the last month. Humidity is high and the mold is growing faster than my sinuses can deal with it. :eck34:

We are 12" above normal for this spring. Hasn't caused me any problems on my property. It's actually good to see my yard and gardens coming back from last years drought. I know others haven't been as fortunate with the rains.

Wow. I think two years would completely wipe out my lawn let alone ten years.

3rd wettest June on record in Boston. Tomato plants are about 2 1/2 ft tall with 1 inch stalks. Strawberries setting out next picking already. Pumpkin and cuke vines are looking for dry land up in the blue spruce trees.
I've mowed with a machine once so far, otherwise push walk behind, twice a week. Supplemented with the 'rabbit' grass maintenane crew from the garden. Stretching the fuel and getting exercise.
Wet summer usually leads to a dry (no snow) winter.

Yup, mowing every 3 to 4 days. Raining again today. Friday thru Sunday looks dry here. That means I mow friday if it's dried out enough.

I've started pumping water on the yard to save trees. I don't care about the grass and weeds. We've lost a few trees the last two years. Only where they are thick where it used to be a fence line but don't want to lose any more. When we do get 5" three of it runs down the ditch. Soaking rains down here are few and far between.

last season i lost 6 fruit trees in spite of almost daily watering. the heat and drought have been intense! glad we aren't as hot as last year but looking like might be just as dry:(

the lakes and aquifers are really suffering. too bad we cant store some of that rain form the east you all are getting.

MikMan that would make me nervous as h e dubble hockey sticks!!!

Lebanon NH had severe flooding tuesday, after a long duration thunderstorm dumped 4+ inches of rain in as many hours..washed away many roads and some homes were damaged badly, possibly beyond repair...photos of the damage on the TV news looked pretty intense, they said hurricane Irene did less damage a few years ago when it passed thru that town...

Here its been VERY humid,75% humidity and temps between 85 and 95 degrees ,its supposed to be in the mid 90's here and no change in temps or humidity until ealry next week maybe...feels like a steam bath and sleeping is near impossible...no real breeze either...

We have been getting a ton here in south western ontario. We have been getting it 1,2 or even 3 inchs at a time. My yard has been pretty full and so has the creek. Here is it a few weeks ago after 2 1/2 inchs of rain

And this was the yard a few days ago

Im debating if my summer project should be to build an ark :D

MikMan48, I would be after whoever is over drainage to get it cleaned up on the other side of the creek. You'd be suprised how much stuff hanging in the water slows the flow down.

I've been pumping for 2 hours on the last section of yard and trees. I'm debating whether to let it go another hour or shut it down and hope we actually get some rain this weekend.

It actually drains well. Except for the garage since the neighbour changed from having "hay" (all weeds) for 25 years to soy beans. We may get after the neighbour to fix it up. And the creek had a few feet to go before it floods.
Still nerveracking none the less but my dad is used to it so it does not bug him

Anyone see pictures of Calgary Alberta Canada about a week or two ago??...looked like the flood of the century there......some areas are still flooded and major highways were washed away...

Lebanon NH had some flash flooding tuesday after a prolonged thunderstorm dumped 4+" in as many hours ,caused more damage than hurricane Irene did a few years ago in that area..

I think its extra soupy here this summer...steam bath weather..

Well it stopped raining this morning around 10am after a solid week of rain and the sun came out this evening about 3 oclock. Grand total of rain for this week is 5 3/4 inches, forecast for the up comming week is 30/40% chance of evening thunder storms every day and highs in the 90's. I sharpened my mower blades today and hope to get the yard mowed one day this week.
