I have an opportunity to get a few wisconsin AENLD motors. They were never filled with gas and run. I am wondering what there worth so I dont get burnt. They are brand new and still bolted to the crates. Recoil start with a magneto and amongst the later ones before production stopped .
Unfortunately, those motors aren't used much anymore for commercial purposes... And there were only handful of tractors that used them...
However, they are one sweet engine and I would think they would be worth 250$-300$ a piece. I'm sure you would be able to sell them for close to that anount
The AENL was is a 9.2 HP @ 3600 RPM engine. The "D" suffix indicates these have the valve rotator added to the exhaust valve.
Really good engines and have a lot of torque. As CAM-SHAFT says they are not all that popular anymore. Newer designs outclass them in weight and fuel economy.
I'd hate to give a guess on what they would sell for, I'd bet if they were taken to some of the engine and tractor shows the price would be pretty good. Something around $300.00 or so but thats just a wild shot.
Trying to ship them would be expensive. Wish you were closer, I'd love to have a new one just to put on the shelf and admire.
A vendor at the CVAE show in August had one for sale, it was very late production and the magneto has evolved to some type of solid state flywheel ignition. He was asking $900 for it.
The seller is/was looking for $300 a piece. They are nice motors for sure. I have no urgent need for ANOTHER motor, but it is temping though. Thanks for the info.
I know this is a old post, but I am in need of a aenld. Did you buy one of these, or have any connections to one?
