Old Troy Bilt Tiller Help Please
Hi, I just picked up a pretty old Troy Bilt Tiller today but i really cant tell you much about it. I know its a Horse rear Tined model and i know that the Serial number is TH-1003-1 but i cannot tell you what engine is on it because the guy i got it from replaced the original engine with a Techumseh engine off his old snow blower. I am looking to find an manual on this machine so if anyone can help a will really appriciate it.
Here is a picture

You'll find the actual serial number stamped in the transmission casting. Look on the horizontal surface directly above the right-hand axle. At the beginning of this section of the forum, there is a serial number list to help you determine what you have and when it was built. When I got my 1974 Horse, I had to remove several layers of crud to expose the serial number.
Once you determine the model (there are several versions of the Horse, depending on when it was made), you can figure out what manual you need.
For a manual, you can go to this link:
In the "Product Model #" field, put "Horse", then click on "Search". That will bring up a list of manuals. Find the one you need based on Horse I, Horse II, Horse III, etc., and the serial number.
If you need help, feel free to ask!
