Does anyone out there know of a trick to remove the tine assembly so seals can be replaced, I sure would like to know it. I have been unable to get the tine unit off a Pony, used heat and built a 4 bolt hole plate to use with a steering wheel type puller. The plate was also long enough I could strike it with a hammer to try to twist it loose from the shaft. No luck!! Any Ideas or should I just cry a little and beat my head against the wall and then LOL. Thanks for any help or just moral support.
Thanks for the response, I might as well try the 2x4 too. I think this will come up again for me so I am considering building a bottle jack type press with changeable base plates to remove different things, tines, wheels, or whatever comes up. If I build it and it works will post pics. It will take a little time to gather materials and build so it will not happen overnight. Will let everyone know if it does.
The 2x4 trick worked for me. A couple good whacks and they were off. I'd advise a good healthy dose of anti seize when you go back together with them. If you happen to have the wheels off I'd put anti-seize on wheel shaft as well.
