Hello y'all,

I'm on a second rebuild for a rancher friend, did a MF 245 a couple of years ago and now working over his 801 Powermaster. Will have questions as I work through this tractor, and the most aggravating thing so far is not being able to find a good wiring schematic for this unit. Serial number is corroded from battery acid but I will get the available numbers off of other parts. Who out there has a link to a wiring schematic for this tractor? Late 50's-early 60's, diesel (172).
Thank you as I begin the work,

The '01 series diesel tractors were originally 12 volts with a generator and external voltage regulator. Many have been converted to alternators over the years.

A user "JohnLA" over at Yesterday's tractors has done a wonderful job of documenting the wiring diagrams of old Ford tractors, both the original schematics and the proper wiring for alternator conversions, for both 1 wire and 3 wire alternators. Here is the original wiring diagram for that tractor with the original generator and voltage regulator from his photobucket page:

Here is a link to his photobucket library where you can find the rest of his work. The manifold pre-heater circuit for the diesel engine is a separate diagram there if you need that.
