newer New Hollands

My closest dealer no longer is carrying New Holland tractors. He is saying that they are no longer a good tractor and has switched to Kubota. I had several older New Hollands and was well satisfied. I am again in the market for a compact 4WD tractor with loader and backhoe and have found a used newer New Holland and am wondering if this is worth considering. Can anyone shed some light on why the local dealership no longer supports New Holland tractors?

The closest dealer that sells New Holland is Kahn tractor in Connecticut. Klems would have been the closest but they stopped servicing tractors, but still supports parts.

My local New Holland dealer is still in business. That's the only brand of tractor that they carry. They carry other things like Zero Turn Mowers and ATV's made by other companies, but no other tractors. New Holland seems to be very high priced and they don't seem to want to come down off of MSRP, so maybe that is why your dealer switched to Kubota, as Kubota always has some sort of incentive or another and my local Kubota dealer always gives quotes that are discounted off of MSRP. I think that New Holland charges the dealer so much that the dealer can't give any discounts and still make a profit to be able to stay in business.

Klems stopped because they weren't selling enough. They said they had to sell 100 a year. When we talked to them last, they only did 30.
