Hi i just picked up a fordson power major the other day and was wondering about some info about it. Im new to these bigger tractors.
I was wondering if it has a standard pto size that a king cutter bush hog would use or would i need to buy some sort of adapter.
I was also wondering if there was somewhere i could buy single fuel injection lines. Ive got 2 that are leaking.
This is a picture of the beast. Thank you for any replies!
I know of Majors with 1-3/8" PT0, if your Power Major is the same that is a common size. Use a caliper or equivalent and get a measurement--top land (tooth 1) across to top land (tooth 4)--- should measure 1-3/8" (6 teeth). I used (tooth 1) and (tooth 4 ) just to say, measure the full diameter--teeth aren't numbered.
This RPM info is nice to know--and the links are TractorData-- which I have found reliable in my use.
Power Take-off (PTO):
Rear PTO: transmission
live (optional)
Rear RPM: 540
Engine RPM: 540@1600
I should add, don't take anything for granted--but the typical (for your horsepower) King Kutter would be set up for the 1-3/8" 6 spline at the tractor end.
Yeah the king cutter i have is 1 3/8. Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like it will work.
