Hows it going.
I have a chor-trac garden tractor , I believe is a 1954 model. it has the original 2 1/2 h.p. Clinton engine on it with a n
Norton carburator with an oil bath air cleaner like the old tractors have. It came with the original sulky , a single bottom plow, and the brush cutter attachment. I paid 225$ for this setup and got it running the first weekend, Its a great machine, built like a tank.
We bought it / use it to cut new trails on our deer hunting property.
The model I have has a live axle with locking differentials at each wheel. It will climb just about any terrain.
I put an new set of ag tires on it, paid $165 new installed, well worth it.
I don't know if your engine is original, but I found out info on mine rig by searching google, try searching "wards chor trac" gave me the best results.
They are not as common as the david bradley's or gravely's I found out.
I was told that the original sulky is worth more than the actual tractor.
I would like to find an original push blade for mine, the front has a sort of Quick detach system on it that is easy to use.
Hope this helps some. I would really like to see some photo's of your machine. I will try to attach some.
Will take some more of the engine close up if anyone is interested.
