Please post a picture of the machine, the owner's forum handle and a link to the thread where you found the picture.

I would like to enter my Grandson's (Logan) 1988 John Deere 165 Hydro. I am sort of drawn to Sears, Craftsman style, but I have had a Ford LGT, and know a deal when I see one. A Police Commander gave this to "us" with the only request that I provide pictures after it was finished. When I got it home my Grandson instantly clamed / declared it as his. He was involved with the restore, and couldn't wait till he could ride it. We recently traveled to one local event so far, and plan to attend another event at the end of February before starting Mowing duties. He is looking foreword to helping Pap mow the property this summer. I would like to present Little John. http://www.mytractorforum.com/12-john-deere-forum/992106-jd-165-hydro-little-john.html

I remember working with you on the MOTM back when, Larry. Over 5 years ago now I see. And there was little Logan "wrenching it" with his grandpa. So nice to see him growing up and enjoying and learning. And you deserve a lot of the credit for your love and support. And taking the time to teach, and mentor. More of that is needed today. Makes me smile. Thank you, sir :fing32:

That's a fine looking machine!

I agree w/ you-Ellis about that little tractor==and the line on it..
**Far too few folks today, have the time/patience or knowledge to 'pass on' anything--so the next generation or two is going to be hard-pressed for hands on info, unless self-learned...which I doubt--i.e.--no one to show or mentor--therefore no interest...
Just my .02
