It makes a good preservaive for fence posts and other wood exposed to the elements too..but I wouldn't use it on my picnic table!..
I've used stale 2 stroke gas to get my wood stove going,but yeah,it is a bit dangerous,and a good way to remove your eyebrows in a FLASH, if your not real careful!..
I've added it to my 4 cycle engines and my older carberated vehicles with no issues,other than some smoke out the tailpipe..probably does more good than harm,helps lube the upper cylinders and valve stems..used it to get my brush fires going on a cold january day too..
Sometimes we have ant problems,I find a bit of stale gas/oil mix down the anthills discourages them quite nicely too!..if they are stubborn,just apply a MATCH to it!..that ruins their day real quick!..they wont return to a burned out anthill it seems,none have come back yet!..
