I picked up one just like yours a few months ago for either a parts machine or a possible resto. According to the engine code, it is a 1980 and if I remember right it was made by gilson. Look on the engine shroud for the type, date, code numbers. the first 2 digits of the code are the year the engine was made and assuming this is the original engine it will give you a close guess to the year of the tractor. Just because the engine codes to a 1980 doesn't mean that's the tractor year, as it could be a 1981, just took a bit from the time the engine was made to when the tractor was made. hope this helps, and look forward to seeing your project progress.
