Re: Rattlecan paint to match Craftsman Toolbox Red
I'm about to repaint my Matco bench top. They're all pretty close.
it's a dark red.
Try HDepot's spray can aisle. The Rustoleum spray semi gloss are really good paints. They lay out really well if you dust the whole side continously.
Spray the first coat, dusting, until it's still see through. Let it flash, then go over with another dusting, until it looks wet.
It'll look like it was done with a gun. (I always add one more wet coat after the second flashes)
And do it in a warm (65F) garage.
In addition, the Rustoleum "Painters' touch" line has some really good colors, with a wider range of tints.
Don't waste your time with Duplicolor...it's garbage.
After 6 months, put a coat of wax on it. And put a small wire, like a coat hanger, screwed to the bottom, touching the ground. It will eliminate dust collecting.
Flyfishing isn't a sport, it's a way of life.
