I have a Snapper LT150H38IBV. Everything is original, it has been in storage since it was bought and has rarely been used. It doesn't leak anything.
However, when I went to use it at full throttle, it has full power going forward, but hardly any power in reverse, it can't backup a hill. It is a hydro static. Please help.

If you inspect the linkage for the 'F-N-R' drive selector, you'll see that it moves an arm on the side of the hydro. If the linkage is biased in adjustment or movement, it may not be moving the lever far enough to allow R to work well.{and at the same time, it will provide higher-than-normal F speed}
I'd check to see if there is any adjustment that might provide a little more movement in the R direction. I'd also check that all the joints in the linkage are tight.
You may be able to check if it is linkage or internal by removing the plastic surround from the fender where the selector lever protrudes. In most cases, removing the surround will allow just a little more movement in either direction. If adding that little bit made R work, again, I'd be looking a lot closer at the selector linkage to see if there was a loose 'joint' or 'pivot' that might need to be tightened.
Most times if a hydro works well in forward, the pump & motor are in good shape, so the problem is in the linkage or adjustment.
One thing to be wary of is removal of the lever on the side of the hydro. Do not remove it unless you are sure the internal 'stuff' will stay in place. There is at least one brand/model that requires splitting the case to set the adjustment if you remove the lever and the internal shaft gets moved. Ooopsie big time.
