Re: craftsman LT1000 briggs & Stratton 18hp
And thank you for the warm welcome.
Here is my problem Craftsman LT 1000 18hp Briggs & Stratton. Problem started last summer, where after a mowing, the tractor would not restart. Would jump it but after running for a while seemed to drain battery. Replaced battery twice to no resolve. Recently replaced starter, terminals all look clean and non corroded. It seems to want to start, 1 or 2 1/2 revolutions per try until battery again drains. New battery again as of today, not starting. Garage is very cold, don't know if that can effect fuel filter etc.... disconnected seat safety switch, did not make a difference. I don't believe that the motor is seized being that it has started with a jump and try's to turn over with a recharged battery before draining battery.
